InterPED was featured at the 25th International Conference on Computer Information Systems and Industrial Management Applications (CISIM 2026), held on 25–27 September 2026 at Białystok University of Technology, Poland. The international conference brought together researchers and experts working across artificial intelligence, computer information systems, machine learning, security and industrial applications.
Dr Valentina Janev from Mihajlo Pupin Institute (IMP), an InterPED project partner, delivered the keynote speech “Building Trustworthy AI Ecosystems: Examples from EU projects.” Dr Janev was one of the invited keynote speakers at this year’s CISIM conference.

The keynote drew on lessons learned from several European initiatives, including InterPED, OMEGA-X and IntelliLung, to explore the development and deployment of trustworthy AI services across the energy and healthcare domains. It highlighted the importance of robust data-management frameworks, interoperability and common standards, as well as data privacy, security, regulatory compliance, testing and validation when developing AI-enabled systems.
Within the energy domain, InterPED provided an example of how interoperable, data-driven solutions can support the transition towards smarter and more integrated energy systems. The presentation also connected these experiences with the wider ambition of building trustworthy AI ecosystems and the Serbian AI Factory (SAIFA).
InterPED’s participation in CISIM 2026 contributes to the dissemination of project knowledge beyond the energy research community and strengthens the exchange of experience around trustworthy AI, interoperability and data-driven energy solutions.
