The “Mihajlo Pupin” Institute hosted the second plenary session of the InterPED project. Representatives and partners from Spain, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Romania, Switzerland, Denmark, and Serbia met on July 9th and 10th to discuss innovative strategies for sustainable urban energy systems. The session was also attended by the director of the “Mihajlo Pupin” Institute, Nikola Tomašević, PhD
“It is an honor for us to host such an inspiring gathering. Researchers from all over Europe had the opportunity to present their ideas here, and at the same time, we made significant steps in researching sustainable urban energy systems,” said Nikola Tomašević, PhD.
InterPED is an initiative aimed at transforming urban energy systems into more sustainable, efficient, and resilient models. InterPED aims to lead the development of Positive Energy Districts (PED) across Europe to positively impact climate change and achieve the European Union’s climate goals. These districts are designed to produce more energy than they consume by integrating renewable energy sources and improving energy efficiency.
Within the InterPED project, the Mihajlo Pupin Institute (IMP) plays a key role in advancing and integrating InterPED platform services. Our expertise in energy distribution optimization, predictive data analysis, and automated control systems is of great importance in creating sustainable urban energy systems.
