On Monday, 25th March, the third InterPED community engagement workshop took place in Findhorn Ecovillage, bringing together 13 residents, project team members, and academic partners from Heriot-Watt University. The goal was to share progress and gather further community input on the development of the InterPED community energy dashboard.

The workshop focused on presenting the first working version of the dashboard—a visual tool designed to help residents monitor and better understand their energy use. Developed by technical partners at SIMAVI, the dashboard is shaped by the visions and needs expressed during the initial round of workshops held in September.
Heriot-Watt University colleagues guided participants through the platform, highlighting its current features and its connection to broader community energy goals. Attendees had the chance to interact with the dashboard, share impressions, and discuss what worked well, what could be improved, and how the tool might support energy awareness in daily life.

Participants offered valuable feedback on clarity, accessibility, and the features that would be most meaningful for day-to-day use. This input plays a vital role in ensuring the dashboard continues to evolve in a way that is genuinely useful and community-driven.
Looking ahead, the next phase of development will focus on refining the platform based on these insights. Community voices remain central to shaping this work—and ongoing collaboration will be key to ensuring it delivers real, lasting value to the communities it serves.
